help you to say goodbye in a personal, meaningful way
Writing Family-Centered Ceremonies
Family-oriented ceremonies can mark

a Mother Blessing (in place of, or as part of, a baby shower)
-
a bar/bat mitzvah or other coming-of-age event
-
a renewal of vows

a house blessing
The path to a Celebrant ceremony begins with a free, no-obligation consultation. It's important that the person who creates, writes and performs your ceremony is the right fit for you. I want to know about you - the kind of ceremony you want, your values, your vision, and what would make your ceremony intensely personal and meaningful for you.
We'll talk about
-
the kind of ceremony you want - religious, secular, or a combination of the two.
-
your theme. It doesn't have to be big and bold. It can be subtle and understated, or somewhere in between. But defining your theme will tie all of your ceremony elements together and make your presentation more effective.
-
the tone. This is the overall impression you want to create, whether it's solemn and serious, lighthearted, or serene. We'll talk about how you envision the event and what you'd like your guests to take away with them.
If you decide that a Celebrant ceremony is right for you, I'll then interview you in-depth and ask you to complete a questionnaire. You'll review the draft of the script and make any changes you like. Your service includes an unlimited number of rewrites to achieve a final result you're proud of.
The final ceremony draft will be written for your approval. The ceremony belongs to you! I'll coordinate the script with others involved in the ceremony, and hold a rehearsal (especially inportant for weddings and commitment ceremonies). And, of course, I'll perform your ceremony at your chosen location.
As my gift to you, you'll also receive a keepsake-quality copy of your unique, personalized ceremony script for framing, display, scrapbooking, etc.
Maggie the Celebrant is available to perform ceremonies in western and west-central Pennsylvania, and adjacent areas of Maryland and West Virginia.
